The Eagle Trap Sniper Challenge will be a true skill set challenge match.  We will be hosting this event on the Clark Ranch in the Sweetgrass Hills in North Central Montana, right up against the Canadian Border.  It will be a 3-day event June 19-June 21 that competitors will be actively engaged in the match.  Check in will be Thursday June 18 starting at noon and running until 7 pm.  Sight in and dope checking will be available.

Team competitors will be required to have a pistol, gas gun, and a precision rifle, each.  This match will also require the use of suppressors for the long guns, pistols not required but preferred if you are cool enough. (If there are issues with acquiring a can don't hesitate to contact the match director).

Precision Rifles will be required to be restricted to:

  • 200 grain bullets and lower
  • 3100 fps and slower
  • 30 caliber and lower

Pistols must be:

  • 9mm
  • 40 S&W
  • 45 acp

*Gas Guns must be a 5.56 and recommend a MK12/ DM style rifle.*

All targets, unless otherwise told, will be on dead target scoring.

No gear limitations but remember this will be a physical match.  So, keep that in mind when preparing your load out.

Precision Rifle: 250   Pistol: 300    DMR/MK12: 200

Lodging:

Dry camping will be allowed on the ranch and highly recommended.  The nearest place to stay will be Shelby, MT 45 minutes to the south of the ranch.  Porta-potties will be available.

Meals:

We are planning to have a group meal Friday night, Saturday night and at awards on Sunday.  Everything other meal is on the competitors.  Water will be available.

Awards:

Trophies will be handed out to the top 3 teams.  We are also trying to make it work to have a payout for the trophy winners.  That will be announced as soon as it is locked in.
